SEC Charges Compass Minerals with Disclosure Violations

On September 23, the SEC charged Compass Minerals International with misleading investors regarding costs and operating results at its Goderich mine. Compass agreed to pay $12 million to settle the charges.

On September 21, the SEC Investor Advisory Committee held a meeting featuring multiple panel discussions, including one on human capital management and labor, as well as another on ESG fund disclosure. The Committee also discussed recommendations on climate disclosure.
